TiVo for BlackBerry: Not as great as it seems

Good news for TiVo lovers out there now, as RIM and TiVo have just announced the release of the official TiVo application for BlackBerry handsets. We say ‘good’, but actually the app lacks a feature that most of you would have been expecting to see.

As reported from BGR, BlackBerry owners with a TiVo set-top box will now be able to view their program guide and remotely schedule the recording of their favorite shows, wherever you like.

However, the new app is not as great as it seems as you will ‘not’ be able to watch anything that you record on your BlackBerry. Considering the TiVo app has taken so long to come out, you would of thought that streaming would be the first feature on the list, but sadly it’s not.
