Nokia N900: Release Delayed
By: Jamie Pert | September 30, 2009 | 5 CommentsAt one point we were under the impression that Nokia’s N900 handset will be released late September, however delays have previously caused the release dates to be pushed back, we are now hearing that the UK release date has been pushed back again.
According to Amazon’s UK listing it seems that the handset will be released on October 26, 2009, many of us were expecting the handset to launch within the next week or so, as for a US release date we have still not heard any trustworthy details.
Exactly what has caused this delay is unknown, however I would prefer Nokia to get it right first time rather than release an unstable or unfinished handset, especially as it will be the first Nokia to run Maemo.
To see more details on the handset check out SlashGear’s article here, you can also see a recent hand-on video showing off the handset here, or see Amazon’s UK listing here.
