By: Peter Chubb | September 30, 2009 | Leave a CommentThe Tokyo Motor Show 2009 is all set to be an exciting one this year, and one of the most anticipated models has to be the Honda CR-Z Hybrid Hatchback. However, before you get too excited, this will not be the planned production model, instead we are getting the concept version of the production model.
Autoblog explains that the Honda CR-Z Hybrid Hatchback was first seen at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Honda does promise that the car will go into production early in 2010 in Japan, and North America will follow shortly after that.
The new sporty looking Honda CR-Z Hybrid Hatchback will be powered by Honda’s 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine; this will work in conjunction with Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist technology. The small hatchback comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, allowing for more entertainment when driving.
The lines on the new model will certainly turn heads, and the front of the car has a small yet aggressive look to it. Let us know your thoughts on the new design.
This is not the only hybrid on show at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, the Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept will also grace us with its presence.
