You may have read our earlier article today regarding the soon to be released Beta of Google Wave, at this time we also embedded a video which went on 90 minutes, personally I didn’t watch it as I didn’t really have the time however now BBC News have covered Google Wave.
The BBC’s article features a much more brief video which lasts just shy of 3 minutes, this video shows an inexperienced Google Wave user using the software to communicate with Google Wave’s developers in Sydney, at one point it is described as email and instant messaging on steroids.
Personally I feel that this system would be great for project management and working on projects which require many peoples input, it also allows extremely quick and easy sharing of videos photos.
All of your input appears live in the wave, therefore in affect whilst writing a question someone can read it as you type, allowing for quicker communication, also it will allow users to annotate peoples comments etc which will be great if its being used in a design company etc, to see the video head over to BBC’s website
What do you think of Google Wave?
