Google Wave: Beta Release Soon
By: Jamie Pert | September 30, 2009 | Leave a CommentGoogle are planning to release another new product to Beta testers and some point today, the new product is called Google Wave and it is said to be a web application which combines “ elements of email, chat, Wiki documents, blogs, and photo-sharing sites in order to create a hosted conversation or “wave” of Internet communication”.
The application has high hopes from its developers, so much so that Jens and Lars Rasmussen hope that Google Wave will eventually be used as the main form of communication via the Internet, perhaps replacing email.
It is thought that the “Wave” will enable lots of different content to be integrated within the conversation such as photos, videos and maps, this “Wave” can be viewed and edited by multiple recipients.
The idea is pretty hard to explain without demonstration, therefor if you check out the end of this post you can watch an 80 minute video explaining Google Wave, or check out HotHardware for more details.
