Sharp’s new LX-Series HDTV’s

Sharp have announced plans to release four new HDTV’s, all of these HDTV’s are part of their LX-series and they all support the full 1920p HD resolution, the four new models are the LC-40LX1, LC-46LX1, LC-52LX1 and the LC-60LX1, they are all said to have really low power consumption
The screen sizes are pretty self explanatory, the LC-40LX1 has a 40 inch diagonal, the LC-46LX1 has a 46 inch diagonal, the LC-52LX1 has a 52 inch diagonal and the LC-60LX1 has a massive 60 inch diagonal.
All of the new HDTV’s offer a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and feature many different connectivity options, these include three HDMI ports, an S-Video port, Ethernet port, modem port and a wide range of component and composite connections.
The Ethernet and modem connections are there to allow access to Sharp’s Internet-TV services, there is also said to be a serial connection to allow digital output and PC input.
No US prices and release dates have been confirmed yet, however in Japan it seems that as of November 10th the LC-40LX1 will be on sale for the equivalent of $2,800, the LC-46LX1 will be on sale for the equivalent of $3,900 and the LC-52LX1 will be on sale for the equivalent of $5,000.
