Palm have now officially released the latest update for their webOS, the latest update is version 1.2.0 and is 79MB in total, the update itself can install itself over-the-air, there have been a lot of significant and less significant changes made, you can see a full list here.
Some of the more significant changes made include support for advertising for paid applications, cut/copy and paste support within the web browser, searching within email and a lot of tweaks and improvements to the web browser’s functionality.
One surprise is that this update has not fixed the issue that Palm Pre’s have with syncing with Apple’s iTunes, over the last few months there has been a little bit of a rift between the two, however this time it looks like Palm haven’t wasted their time.
As we always say with any major handset update make sure you back up all of your personal data and make sure you have adequate battery life, for more details on the update check out SlashGear’s article here.
