We have a guide to show you now, which will explain how to enable MMS features on your iPhone, even if you are not running the recent iPhone OS 3.1 firmware.
As reported from Softpedia, the process involves users downloading that same carrier file that is needed for the MMS update. A big deal was made that the MMS update would only be available for iPhone 3G and 3GS owners, but it has now been reported that firmware 3.1 ‘isn’t’ required to access the MMS features.
What that means is those of you who are still running FW 3.0 or 3.01 can simply download the updated carrier file, then MMS should work according to this guide.
Try it out for yourself, let us know how you get on.
