Halloween Costume Ideas In 2009: Retailers Share what’s popular

Last year some of the most popular Halloween costumes were Captain Jack Sparrow, but retailers have said that 2009 is all about the vampires. There are a number of reasons for this, the biggest being how popular “The Vampire Diaries”, “True Blood” and the ever-popular “Twilight” sage is.

According to Cleveland, people have yet to start purchasing new Halloween costumes, but they have now started to show an interest. Bodziony have said that other popular costume ideas include 1960s hippie costumes, the reason is that it it is the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.

What else are people thinking of dressing up as? Harry Potter is still very popular. Also in demand are dead celebrities, such as Michael Jackson and the whole Thriller thing. Farrah Fawcett is also another popular choice.

  2. We at PureCostumes.com have been selling lots of vampire costumes for 2009 and I totally agree the volume will pick up in October for vampire related costumes even accessories.
