Apple’s Newton developer and new tablet computer
By: Jamie Pert | September 29, 2009
Apple have recently rehired Michael Tchao, Michael is one of the original developers of Apple’s Newton personal digital assistant, many believe that Michael has been hired by Apple to develop the Apple Tablet.
Michael previously worked for Apple for ten years and has most recently been overseeing creation of digital products for Nike, it seems that Michael has now taken on the position as Apple’s vice president of product marketing.
Michael’s last spell at Apple was not a complete success as his Newton OS and Newton-related products ended up being discontinued in 1998.
At Apple’s recent event many believed that a new Apple Tablet would be announced, however there was no mention of an Apple Tablet, perhaps we will begin to hear more regarding an Apple Tablet soon, if we do we will keep you posted, check out Cnet for more information.
