Apple iPad tablet: Will run iPhone OS
By: Jamie Pert | September 29, 2009 | 1 CommentMore rumors are beginning to surround a possible Apple Tablet, sources now believe that the Apple Tablet will be called the Apple iPad, it is also thought that so far Apple have created three prototype versions of the iPad.
Originally it is thought that the plan was to release a 7 inch iPad, however it now seems that they have opted for a larger 10.7 inch version instead, it is also thought that the device will have a capacitive touchscreen and may have a 720p resolution.
Sources also believe that the iPad will run Apple’s iPhone OS and will not directly take on netbooks, instead it will be used like an over-sized iPhone, it will allow simple communications and media playback, it is though that the device will be available with and without 3G integration.
It is thought that if all goes to plan the iPad will be officially announced on January 19th 2010, it is expected to be released by June, check out SlashGear for more information.
