TomTom XL340S Live: Unveiled
By: Jamie Pert | September 28, 2009
TomTom have recently revealed their latest GPS device, it is called the XL340S Live and features pre-installed points of interest along with local search features which are powered by Google, the connectivity for this search function is made possible via AT&T’s network.
Along with live updates to points of interest it will also be able to update other live information such as weather forecasts, fuel prices, traffic information and a lot more, it is thought that all of this information is automatically updated in intervals of between two and five minutes.
The TomTom XL340S Live is currently looking to retail at $299.95, this price includes 3 months of the wireless service, however details on addition wireless coverage pricing following the first 3 months is currently unclear.
Personally I feel that the new features that the XL340S Live offers are great, however not essential for all users, if the pricing of wireless coverage isn’t too excessive the device could do very well, check out SlashGear for more information.
