The Samsung Reclaim handset is regarded by Samsung as being the first handset in the US which is made using bio-plastic materials, this material is made from extracts from corn which makes this material 100 percent biodegradable, all in all 80 percent of the handset is recyclable.
The handset is currently available from Sprint for $50 as part of a two-year contract, and to be honest the handset delivers in many different ways, the QWERTY keyboard is said to feel uncluttered and easy to use, the brightness of the display is adequate and the build quality is good.
Specifications are not to bad either, the Reclaim features a microSD slot, a display which supports a resolution of 320×240, a 2 megapixel camera and a 3.5mm audio jack.
All in all the review seems to be pretty impressed by the handset, however for those of you who are looking for a top of the range feature-full handset this is not the handset for you, if however you want a cheap eco-friendly, easy to use handset this could be a good choice of handset, you can see Electronista’s full review here.
