Rock Band developers Harmonix have just released a fairly significant update for Rock Band 2. As well as fixing a few bugs here and there, it also adds a few new features to the game, most notably ‘Audition Mode’.
As reported from Eurogamer, Audition mode will work with the Rock Band Network and will allow you to upload songs from your PC to try out using the Rock Band game tools. At the moment, the RB Network is in ‘closed beta’ stage, but will open up in a few weeks time, according to Harmonix.
Other features of the update include the ability to download songs in the background, as well as Xbox 360 wireless microphone support.
Lastly, there will also be a ‘Sort by Stars’ option, allowing experienced players to search through songs, based on how well you have mastered them so far.
