iPhone on Orange: O2 still has Palm Pre

UK network O2 have made an official statement on the news that they have lost exclusivity with the Apple iPhone on their network to Orange, who will now offer the handset to customers before the end of the year.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, O2 have stated that they ‘always knew’ that the exclusive deal would be limited, but have said that they still have a relationship with Apple as they look forward to continued success with the iPhone.

While stating that they currently have over one million iPhone customers in the UK, they also point out that they will be soon offering a rival handset exclusively in the Palm Pre.
