AT&T complain to FCC over Google Voice

We do know that AT&T had nothing to do with Apple and its decision over Google Voice, but we have learned that the network carrier is no fan of the app. PC World reports that AT&T have written a letter to the FCC, stating that the app blocks a number of phone numbers operated by rural carriers.

Some of these numbers include adult services, these calls normally cost users high fees, which would then go to these rural phone companies. AT&T knows that these calls cost them hundreds of millions of dollars a year, but they are required by law to allow them.

AT&T have said that Google Voice is just the same as a traditional phone service, this means that it should abide by those same rules that they have to adhere to. AT&T also says that even if you look at Google Voice as an App, consumers are still entitled to competition.
