Asus M60J: Core i7 Multimedia Notebook

Asus have recently revealed plans to release a new multimedia notebook which they are calling the M60J, this new notebook will be their first to run one of Intel’s recently released Core i7 processors, there has been no official pricing or release date announced however with the hardware specifications the notebook offers it wont be cheap.
You can see full specifications for the M60J HotHardware here, the main specifications worth mentioning include a Intel Core i7 Processor (there are two options available these are the 1.6GHz Core i7 720QM and the 1.73GHz Core i7 820QM).
The notebook also features 4GB of DDR3-1333 RAM, Intel’s PM55 chipset, a 16 inch display and a range of different hard drive capacities, it seems that Windows Vista will be the standard OS choice available, however it would seem likely that you will be eligible for a Windows 7 upgrade once the OS is released.

Some negative points,
The M60J, despite the 53Wh battery only a moderate battery life of up to about 2 hours, since the processor has a TDP of 45W, with a relatively high power consumption. Under load, the notebook takes about 80 watts, there is still much earlier conclusions.
The device is quite heavy, with about 3.3 KG also
