Palm Pre: Not Coming to Verizon Wireless?

Over the last few months we have posted a few articles regarding a Verizon Wireless Palm Pre (see here and here, well now it seems that executives at Verizon Wireless are now reconsidering whether to offer the handset or not.

According to the article on Cnet, Verizon may be having second thoughts about the Palm Pre due to the fact sales of the handset are not as high as anticipated, especially when compared to sales of rivaling BlackBerry devices and Apple’s iPhone.

There are also said to be concerns over what app store a Verzion Palm Pre would feature, Verizon would like their own Vcast application and download store, however you would imagine Palm would want to offer their app store.

There has been no official word from Verzion or Palm yet and all of this information is based on “reliable sources”, however when we do hear something more official we will keep you posted, for more information check out Cnet’s article.
