IE8: Google Chrome Frame plug-in makes it 10 times faster

It has been reported that Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8 browser performs as much as 10 times faster, when combined with Google’s new Chrome Frame plug-in.

As reported from Computer World, the new Chrome Frame targets Javascript specifically and performs around 9.6 times faster than without the plugin, according to tests ran by CW.

In case you didn’t know, the Chrome Frame plugin was released on Tuesday and lets Internet Explorer make use of Chrome’s WebKit rendering engine, along with their V8 JavaScript engine.

If you are interested in trying out this method for yourself, you can download the Chrome Frame plug-in here. It will work with IE 6,7 and 8 on both XP and Vista.
