Microsoft will begin to send out emails to those finalists who will host the Windows 7 Launch Party. They will be offered party favors, as well as a chance to win a new PC. Information Week learned the news from Brandon LeBlanc, Microsoft’s in-house Windows bloggers.
LeBlanc said “Receiving the finalist email doesn’t mean you’ve been accepted to host just yet. You will need to be among the first to respond via a link within your email to be confirmed as a host.” The spots to host this party are limited in numbers; LeBlanc said that they needed to make certain that those chosen would be able to do a good enough job.
Earlier this month, Microsoft had invited the public the chance to host the official Windows 7 Launch Party. Windows 7 is the much-anticipated new operating system from Microsoft, which is said to be a vast improvement on Vista. We recently wrote an article offering advice about the best time to purchase Windows 7.
