Volkswagen E-Up: Coming to the U.S?
By: Jamie Pert | September 23, 2009 | Leave a CommentDuring this years Frankfurt auto show Volkswagen unveiled a concept for their new Volkswagen E-Up! Electric-vehicle, it is thought that VW are also considering releasing a larger version in the United States.
The E-Up is part of VW’s new small car family, the small car family will start becoming available sometime in 2011, however the E-Up! itself is thought to debut in Europe in 2013, therefore a larger US version will be even further away.
The European E-Up! four seater is just 125 inches long and is looking to have a range of around 70-80 miles, the US version will be slightly longer at 146 inches, therefore unless they upgrade the battery the range will be less, obviously these are a long way of now but perhaps a sign as to what we can expect in the future, check out AutoBlog for more details.
