iPhone OS 3.1 and Internet Tethering

When Apple first announced the option for Internet Tethering, many of us were very excited about the prospect. There are a number of ways that you can get the Internet Tethering to work, but many people use a hack. You can understand that those who were using the hack were worried when they updated to iPhone OS 3.1.

Thankfully, for one of the writers at Cult of Mac, the hack still worked after the update, but there have been a number of reports that the tethering menu did not survive the update. That is not all the problems that have arisen from the update, such as reduced battery life.

The writer of the article did mention that his Visual Voicemail stopped working, so after two weeks, decided to switch to VVM rather than tethering. This is not as complicated as you may think, just follow Cult of Macs simple instructions and you will be up and running in no time.
