Over the last few months Apple’s application approval process has taken quite a lot of criticism, mainly surrounding the fact that they did not approve Google Voice, however this past Friday saw Apple approve just shy of 1400 applications.
The actual number of approved applications was 1,394, it is thought that the majority of the applications approved will be pretty poor, however even if 5 percent of these applications turn out to be successful it is great for the App Store.
Currently equivalents of the App Store for BlackBerry, Palm and Nokia handsets are far less substantial then Apple’s App Store, with more and more money being made through mobile applications you can’t really blame Apple for capitalizing, however sometimes less is more, check out IntoMobile for more details.
