Benjamin Tan, senior director, GCR Mobile Team Unit said that these new phones would be from 15 different vendors.
Engadget have learned from Digitimes that Tan had revealed this information while talking to reporters in China. Market sources in Taiwan reports that some of those vendors who have put their support behind the new mobile OS include Acer, Hewlett-Packard, LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics and Toshiba.
It is not just vendors who have put their support behind Windows Mobile 6.5, telecom carriers from around the world have also offered support, these include AT&T, NTT DoCoMO, Orange, SKT, Softbank Mobile, Sprint Nextel, Telstra, Telus, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless.
Two of the model we already know about, these are the HTC Tilt 2, which we mentioned yesterday and also the HTC Pure.
