Apple joins top 20 global brands, according to survey

It has been revealed that Apple have improved on their position, in a recent survey on the top 100 global brand names. The improvement sees Apple take 20th position, overtaking big names such as Nike, American Express and Pepsi.

As AppleInsider reports, the study has come from BusinessWeek, who have conducted a look into the best global brands of 2009. Apple’s brand value for this year so far, has been estimated at $15.4 billion, which is a 12 percent increase from last year.

Despite analysts predicting that Apple sales would fall in the absence of Steve Jobs, sales for Macs and iPods have reached record figures, indicating that there is still plenty of demand for Apple products.
