Xbox 360 and PS3 Security Kits

Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 users all have one thing in common; they all worry about the security of their consoles. NewPCgadgets have come up with a solution to this problem, and that is these new security kits. These are said to be the first of their kind for the Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3.

The Security Kit for the PS3 has been engineered from steel; the plate can be attached quickly to the rear of your console. All you then do is find a secure fixed object to attach the cable too; the cable is included in the kit.

The Security kit is a little different for the Xbox 360, this plate attaches to the top of the console above the hard drive. You then just slide the cable through the plates and also attach it to a fixed secure object. The whole process takes less than 60 seconds.

Well, I am worried. Very worried, and so should you be!! I’ve actually borrowed an ED-209 from Paul Verhoven, I mean, he didn’t really want to lend it to me, but he was so worried about my PS3, he really felt there was no other choice.

I had originally installed a couple of attack dogs to guard my PS3 when I was more than ten feet away from it, but I didn’t feel that there was enough security there, so I added a perimeter fence, a couple of guard towers(with guards), a few land mines etc… But to be honest the whole thing was a bit unwieldy and took up considerable space in my house. Also the Mote outside was a bit of a problem as the neighbours where complaining about the black knight that kept approaching.

Anyway the ED-209 was an obvious choice. Still, I’m not really sleeping that well so I MIGHT HAVE TO EMPLOY SEVERAL UNITS OF STORM TROOPERS.. AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!

WTF is wrong here? Who in their right mind would actually by one of these?

I bought one for my dorm room and I think it is a great idea. I have a security kit for my laptop why wouldn’t I have one for my Xbox. It just makes sense if you have ever had anything of value stolen!
