By: Peter Chubb | September 21, 2009 | 2 CommentsThere is no denying that the Xbox 360 is a superb games console, and its worldwide sales can easily back that claim up. However, it is no secret that Microsoft has struggled to sell high numbers of its console in Japan. There are two reasons for this, Sony and Nintendo.
According to 4 Games Thirst, Microsoft has not been put off by this and set themselves a high goal earlier this year, we now wonder if that risk has paid off. Earlier in 2009, Microsoft confirmed that sales of the Xbox 360 went past the one million mark in Japan.
According to 4 Games Thirst, the Japanese are having a hard time embracing the Xbox 360; this is also the case with the games available for the console. Below is a list of the top 4 selling games for the Xbox, you can clearly see that the numbers are not that high.
- 1. Star Ocean 4: 208,521 Sold
- 2. Blue Dragon: 203,740 Sold
- 3. Tales of Vesperia: 194,714 Sold
