Microsoft Tablet prototype and Turtle and Pure ‘Pink’ phones

There are a number of rumors going around involving Microsoft and Sharp. It seems that the pair is to launch a new set of phones together, these slider phones are codenamed “Turtle” and “Pure” and form part of the Project Pink skunkworks. That is not all; there is also a rumor that Microsoft is working on a tablet prototype.

We are not certain when the Pink phones will launch, but Engadget explains that it will not be until the release of Windows 7 Mobile. This new OS is not expected until the end of 2010. There are sure to be many more reports on this as the months go on.

The rumor of the new Microsoft Tablet is centered on something called “Alchemy Ventures”. It is thought that one of the executives from the Surface team is on board with this project. The one thing that we find strange is the perfect timing, as Apple are also rumored to be working on a tablet. Who will launch their first?
