Gears of War 2 box contains Xbox 360 802.11n adapter
By: Peter Chubb | September 21, 2009 | Leave a CommentA few days back we mentioned about the new 802.11n adapter for the Xbox 360, and that its price will be the same as the current model. Joystiq have now managed to spot one of these Wi-Fi adapters, it was included in an Italian promotional version of Gears of War 2 Game.
The product was spotted on Mondobox.com; they even posted an image of the promotions leaflet. We are not certain if this is authentic, but as it shows that both 802.11a/b/g and 802.11n adapters will still be sold, this holds up with our recent article.
We know that the new adapter will cost the same as the old adapter; the original will now finally see a price cut. Not sure why you would want to purchase the older one anyway, the saving will only be a few dollars. Microsoft is yet to confirm any of these details.
