First Review: Intel Core i7-820 QM mobile CPU
By: Alan Ng | September 21, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you’re interested in the upcoming release of the new Intel Core i7 CPUs, you should take a look at one of the first reviews for the chip that we have found.
The review is from PCMag, who have given us their thoughts on the i7. The first batch of i7 processors will be quad-cores and will come equipped with 45nm processes.
One main feature of the new i7 chips will be something known as ‘Turbo Boost’, which is designed to speed up cores which are not being used. To put this into perspective, the i7-820QM will be able to take the stock speed of 1.73GHz up to 3.06GHz.
If you are planning to pick up a i7 powered system, then you should definitely take a look at PC Mag’s full review. Let us know your thoughts.
