New iPhone App For Security Systems

New iPhone App For Security Systems

By: Alan Ng | September 18, 2009 | 1 Comment

Security company Honeywell have just unveiled and announced their brand new application for iPhone users. It will be a free download and will operate together with their Total Connect home security system.

As reported from IntoMobile, the Honeywell Security app will allow users to arm and disable systems and check security camera stills, all from a separate location on your iPhone.

You’ll even be sent SMS alerts, and be able to operate light systems as well. Sounds pretty useful to us. If you want to read more on this useful app, head over to IntoMobile as they have included a video of the app in action for you to check out.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
