The AT&T Wireless Experience

AT&T have revealed that they are in no hurry to get their wireless network upgraded, instead prefering to take things at their own pace. As most of you will be aware, Rogers and Verizon already have their wireless network at speeds of up to 21 Mbps, while many AT&T customers are clueless as to when the company will roll out their HSDPA network to 7.2 Mbps.

As revealed over at BroadbandReports, AT&T are planning to begin trials for their new upgrade at somepoint next year. When that time eventually happens, the company doesn’t think they will be left behind with everyone else, stating: ”It’s not just about speed, it’s about the whole customer experience.”

Where do you stand on the debate? Are you willing to stick it out with AT&T in the hope of an upgraded wireless network ’soon’, or are you now ready to commit to another carrier? Let us know what you think.

  1. Bill O'Brien says:

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and the AT&T 3G network here is horrible. Does anyone know when 850 MHZ is coming to Cincinnati? AT&T does not care about its customers, just about making money. They refuse to upgrade their network, which is desperately needed. I am constantly getting dropped calls, terrible voice quality where there is static and crackling in the line, and it cuts out and is choppy, missed text and voice messages, and poor reception. I have been through 3 different Nokia 3G phones and am still having the same problems. Customer service is a joke and doesn’t care about your problems. It’s not like AT&T has any plans on fixing them. Avoid them!
