A new 3D scanner has recently showed up on SlashGear, this 3D scanner claims to be the world’s most affordable 3D scanner, however it till has an MSRP of $28,900, the scanner can be used to scan 3D objects and input the data into a computer.
The scanner is made by a company known as the ‘Z Corporation’ and is known as the ZScanner 600, the scanner is handheld, it is said to be accurate up to 0.1mm and is said to have an XY accuracy of 80 microns (this is the first 3D scanner I’ve written about so whether this is good or not I’m not too sure).
The software that comes with the scanner is called Zscan Lite, this software outputs files which can be easily imported into 3D CAD software, for more details check out SlashGear.

So $28,900 doesn’t even get you a full version of the bundled software. Think my plans of scanning naked ladies and making my own life size models might have to wait.
