Oracle Quarterly Software Sales: Sharply below expectations
By: Jamie Pert | September 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentAccording to a recent article on Reuters it seems that Oracle Corp’s quarterly software sales have not hit expectations, Oracle were hoping that this quarter may help the company rebound, however shares are said to be down 2.7 percent.
Oracle forecasted that license sales would be down by between 4 – 14 percent, however the actual figure was nearer to 17 percent. Analysts also predicted a total revenue of $5.24 billion, however the actual revenue was $5.05 billion.
It is no great surprise that people aren’t really investing in Oracles products as much, especially as at the moment companies cannot predict exactly what their future holds, for a detailed look into Oracles Quarter check out Reuters.
