Now Shipping: OCZ’s PCIe SSD Z-Drive

OCZ have recently announced that their Z-Drive is now being shipped, OCZ’s PCIe SSD Z-Drive is a PCIe card which has four SSDs linked, these four SSD’s are linked and set up in a RAID 0 configuration.

There are two versions of the Z-Drive, one of these is the p84, this is MLC-based and allows a 750MBps maximum read speed and a 650MBps maximum write speed, the e84 is SLC-based and allows a maximum read speed of 800MBps, it also allows a maximum write speed of 750MBps.

Exact details on capacities, prices and availability are currently unknown, however as we find out more we will keep you updated, for more information check out Engadget.
