According to a recent article on Wired it seems that Apple’s fifth generation of the iPod Nano will not kill the Flip Mino, compared to other versions of the Nano the 5th generation hasn’t changed a lot, the only real addition compared to the 4th generation is the fact that it now has a video camera.
The video quality the Nano records is at VGA-resolution at 30 frames per second, however the lack of optical zoom and autofocus means that the video captured sometimes is far from perfect, also the position of the camera (lower right-hand corner) is far from perfect.
Because the Nano falls short in a few key areas it is thought that the Mino Flip will not be killed of, however it is though that if the Nano placed its camera in a better area and also had auto-focus and a an optical zoom it could well have done, check out Wired for more details.
In what ways are you disappointed by the 5th generation iPod Nano?
