iPhone 3.1 Update: Exchange enhancements cause grief

It has been reported that the recent iPhone 3.1 update has left a lot of owners angry after finding out that their iPhone is no longer compatible with the client implementation of Exchange ActiveSync, which is owned by Microsoft.

According to AppleInsider, Apple licensed the Exchange features for the iPhone last year, in order to provide official support to iPhone and iPod Touch users.

Well ever since the iPhone 3.1 update, iPhone users have discovered they no longer can sync with any Exchange Servers, when using the default “RequireDeviceEncryption” policy set to “True.”

This could prove to be a major problem if not sorted out soon, as it could open the iPhone up to attack. Let us know if you have experienced this problem with your iPhone.
