Seagate increases external HDD capacity to 1TB

Previous versions of Seagate’s FreeAgent Go external hard drives have been very popular, in-fact Cnet gave them an Editors’ Choice award, however that has not stopped Seagate from further developing their range of external hard disks.

Recently Seagate announced new sizes of external hard disks to their FreeAgent range, these new sizes included 750GB, 880GB and 1TB, the drives are said to be identical to the original FreeAgent drives, however the 1TB drive is said to be a bit chunkier.

The drives come as standard with five-year warranty and you can order them direct from Seagate’s Web Site, currently the 750GB drive will set you back $200, the 880GB drive will set you back $210 and the 1TB drive will set you back $250.

The prices seem pretty fair however I don’t understand why someone would buy a 750GB version when you can get an extra 130GB’s of storage for $10. Check out Cnet for more details.
