It has been revealed that Motorola are looking at the prospect of other carriers for their new Cliq handset. This could lead to a fallout between themselves and T-Mobile, who currently have exclusive access to the Android-powered phone.
As reported from Information Week, Motorola co-CEO Sanjay Jha has recently stated that the company are confident of securing a deal with U.S carriers for the Cliq.
The phone, which features their new MotionBlur software, a 3.1-inch touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard, is scheduled to release sometime in the holiday season on T-Mobile.
It is now thought that T-Mobile sales will suffer if it is announced that the Cliq will be available on other carriers. This may be due to the fact that customers may opt to ‘wait’ until the phone becomes available on the likes of Verizon or AT&T.
