Google Chrome 3.0: 25% faster
By: Peter Chubb | September 16, 2009 | Leave a CommentGoogle Chrome 3.0 was launched yesterday, and it is claimed to be 25% faster than Chrome 2 was in rendering JavaScript and 150% faster than the original Chrome browser. Goggle Chrome’s engineering director has set the browser with a huge goal, and that is to double its market share within a year.
Google Chrome 3.0 is only available for Windows users and is finally out of beta, so now it is time for the general public to download the browser and give it a go. This is when the true tests begin, and if it is as good as Google say it is.
There are a number of new improvements on Chrome 3.0, such as an improved tabs page. Computer World says that the new tabs page looks much cleaner, a lot like you see on Opera and Safari. Google have also patched two security vulnerabilities, one being a medium threat and the other a high threat.
