Google have just announced that version 1.6 of their Android SDK is now available to download. That means all you up and coming developers can now download the software and get straight to grips with the new version.
As reported from PC World, version 1.6 will be known as ‘Donut’ and will add support for CDMA and more screen resolutions. Developers will also have access to a new battery usage screen and a redesigned search framework.
One benefit of added CDMA support is that carriers such as Verizon will now be able to add Android phones to their collection of handsets.
You’ll also now see much larger display screens on Android phones, thanks to the new 850 × 480 pixel resolution limit.
