Apple iPhone OS 3.1: Pwnage Tool Jailbreak and unlock

For all of you who have been waiting for an unlock solution since the release of iPhone 3.1 OS, the wait is over. The iPhone Dev-Team have just released Pwnage Tool 3.1 and it’s available to download now.

As reported from TechTree, iPhone owners will need to use Pwnage Tool 3.1 on Mac OS X, which will then let you enable jailbreak and unlock. The Pwnage Tool 3.1 will work with iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch (1st Gen) devices.

So that means at the moment, Pwnage Tool 3.1 will not support the iPhone 3GS, nor the new versions of the iPod Touch.

With the release, you’ll now be able to make use of all the features of iPhone 3.1 OS, such as iTunes 9, App management, Genius Mixes and all the rest.

As always, using Jailbreak will void your warranty with Apple permanently, so only attempt this if you know what you’re doing.
