A recent article has looked into AMD and Intel’s more affordable chipsets and how they compare, obviously with the release of Windows 7 coming in October 22nd there will be a huge market for affordable PC’s running the new OS, therefore cheap powerful chipsets will play a huge part.
One of AMD’s latest chipsets is their 785G chipset, this was introduced a month ago and is designed for budget and mainstream desktop computers, this chipset has been designed specifically for Windows 7, and for this reason has been adopted by many popular motherboard manufacturers.
The article on ComputerWorld takes an in-depth look into AMD’s 785G chipset, Intel’s G41 chipset and Intel’s P55 chipset , overall it is though that AMD’s budget 785G chipset performs very well in many areas, also in terms of value for money its great and the fact that it is compatibility with new technologies means it is better than the G41 chipset in many areas.
