UK Apple TV Price Cut
By: Peter Chubb | September 15, 2009
We recently reported that Apple were to phase out its 40GB Apple TV in the US, we can now tell you that the UK Apple Store has now followed suit and done the same. The 40GB is no longer available in the UK; instead, you can now own the 160GB model for just £219.
The price for the 160GB model used to be £263, so that is a saving of £44. We are not certain what Apple will do for those who purchased a 160GB Apple TV in recent days, the new owners hope to have the £44 saving offered to them as a gesture of good faith.
Apple TV allows you to rent and purchase movies in standard definition; you can also rent movies in HD also. You also have the choice to purchase your favorite TV shows from some of the leading TV networks. Apple TV also allows you to have all your movies, photos and music in one place.

When your local supermarket lowers the price on cans of baked beans, do you ask for a refund of the difference?
Prices change. Deal with it.
I’m not sure where this sense of entitlement comes from. If you thought a product had value when you bought it, then it was a fair price.
