Sony PS3: Firmware Update (v3.01) release is now live

Good news for all of you having problems with the recent PS3 firmware update 3.0, as Sony have already rolled out v3.01, meaning that some of the issues that you have been experiencing ‘might’ be sorted out.

Over at the official US Blog, Eric Lempel has stated that 3.01 is a minor update and once again, intended to adress the all-important system stability.

However, he did later state in a reply to a comment that the update will fix the problem that a lot of you have been having with Uncharted: Drake’s fortune, but that was it.

A good deal of you have been complaining about game freezes in 3.0, so let us know if this update has helped you out.
