It had been hoped that the PS3 3.00 firmware update for the Sony PlayStation 3 was going to be a great one, but it was the complete opposite. There have been reports that PS3 users did not like the new firmware as they were having trouble with Uncharted. Sony have since released PS3 3.01 Firmware Update, we now ask how Uncharted is for you now?
Softsailer explains that PS3 3.01 Firmware Update is optional, so you are not forced in to the update, so it cannot be anything that special. It is reported that the new update helps to improve the stability while playing certain games. One problem was when users played Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
Some users are also complaining of the fact that their PS3 consoles are unable to load certain discs. Sony has said that they are looking into these issues and should solve the issue over the coming weeks. There were also reports that there were problems with DualShock controllers after the PS3 3.00 firmware update as well.

Still lo-res and jaggy.
FW 3.01 still freezes up every once and a while with “Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.” I also notice that regular DVDs get choppy and hang after playing them for 40 minutes or so. My friend was playing “Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2″ today and it froze up on his machine. Now he can’t play any BD video or games on the PS3. Sony needs to fix this problem fast.
