Google Fast Flip: New content browser
By: Jamie Pert | September 15, 2009
One of Google’s latest projects is its new Fast Flip content browser, this content browser could ideally be used to put newspapers and magazines online, however limitations stop it from being as dynamic as a standard website, if you would like to try out Google Fast Flip follow this link.
Whilst writing this article I tried out Google Fast Flip, one thing that impressed me the most was just how quick the pages loaded, especially when compared to .pdf documents. However one thing that frustrated me was the simple lack of navigation options, once you are reading an article you can either move left or right (to the previous/next page), however there are no links to follow to take you to similar pages or previous news etc.
Personally I think that Google Fast Flip will be most popular to computer users with very limited computer skills, it offers a quick and easy way to read articles in a similar way to how a reader would pick up a newspaper, check out Cnet for more details.
