Crop Circles On Google Earth: Software helps enthusiasts
By: Peter Chubb | September 15, 2009 | Leave a CommentCrop circles have been the topic of discussion for many years, but unless you had a plane and could pilot one, there was not much chance of seeing one for yourself. Times have moved on since the first crop circles appeared and now enthusiasts are turning to software to help them in their quest, such as Google Earth.
There are a number of interesting crop circles appearing in fields across Britain, Google Earth might have taken a bit of the fun out of finding these strange yet interesting patterns in fields, but the software has certainly made things much easier.
By using Google’s satellite mapping service, crop circle enthusiasts can now sit in the comfort of their own home to study these phenomena. Enthusiasts can look at screenshots of crop circles; this allows them to quickly compare then locate them and study their design.
