RIM BlackBerry and U2: Strange pairing of two corporate brands
By: Alan Ng | September 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe have an article for you to read now, which reports on the ‘strange’ partnership between cell phone giants RIM and one of the world’s most famous bands, U2.
The article comes from BGR, who have stated that the only reason these two big names have joined together is money. And we mean big money too. BGR has stated that this deal is likely to be in the region of $7-15 million USD.
They also explain how RIM didn’t appear to be interested in promoting the event with U2, but instead rather preferring to display a few banners around the concert event, in an attempt to make the RIM brand more ‘Cool’.
Were you at U2’s 360 U.S. tour? Let us know what you think of the deal between these two. Full article over at BGR above.
