Linux Mint 7 XFCE: Ubuntu-based distribution
By: Jamie Pert | September 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentA new version of the popular Linux Mint distribution has now been released by the Mint development team, I have used previous versions of Linux Mint and have been extremely impressed with them, however that said it wasn’t long until I wanted to be running Windows again.
One of Linux Mint’s main attractions is that it aims to give a user a more complete out-of-the-box-experience, this is achieved by bundling CODECs, Java, DVD playback and other plug ins. My biggest issue with Linux Mint is that it is quite cluttered when comapred to other Linux distros such as Ubuntu.
